"What will we need for our first day of dance?"

 

Leotards, tights, and other Dancewear can be purchased directly at HDA (during the regular year we have a color code for each level). 

But all you need for your first class is a pair of leggings you can move easily in, a t-shirt that keeps you covered when moving around, socks, and hair secured out of your face in a braid or bun. 

 

(Since the class is multiple styles throughout the summer, we know all the different shoes and Dancewear can be a big investment, so for Summer Rotation classes our dress code is more flexible.) It's great if you have all the gear from day one, but if you want to wait and get it after your first class it's no problem during the Summer semester!

 

We also recommend all dancers to bring a bottle of water with their name on it, so that you can stay well hydrated to get the most out of your class time! (Water & snacks also available at the studio $1 ea)

 

Parking is available from two driveways on both sides of our sidewalks at the front of the builing.

Girls Ballet Leotard Levels by color:

Creative Dance, 2-4yrs; Violet Dance Dress with attached skirt

Foundations, 4.5-7yrs; Light Pink Dance Dress with attached skirt

Primary, 7-10yrs; Light Blue Leotard with black ballet skirt

JR. Intermediate, 10.5yrs+; Violet Leotard with black ballet skirt

SR. Intermediate, Invitation Level; Royal Blue with black ballet skirt

Advanced, Invitation Level; Grape Leotard with black ballet skirt

 

Dancers same leotard with black shorts or leggings for all classes other than ballet.

HDA Shirt, Jacket, leg warmers can be worn over your uniform for warm up at the beginning of class to the teacher's discretion.

 

Boys Dress Code:

Light Blue HDA Tee (usually should be tucked in for modesty) with black joggers
